About Us

‘Get Your Ears Out’ plans to be a vibrant online destination for people that do live music and love live music. We are part of the new music industry. An industry that’s more and more about sharing and participation, about peer to peer and getting artists closer to fans and cutting out unnecessary middlemen. About doing it for yourself!

We’re not part of a large corporate media company just a few people from Manchester (UK) that love live music, enjoy developing and so decided to build Get Your Ears Out.

The Internet and web applications keep moving ahead at pace and although there are many established sites that provide great places to hear, see or listen to music we thought that a site that reflected people’s experiences around the live music scene was amiss.

For us the live scene is the pinnacle – it’s where real musicians do their thing and it’s what divides the partial, casual music listener from the true music lover.

We’re aiming to create a place and service that we think will be useful to people like us that make music, enjoy checking out live music and have a passion for talking about music pretty much 24/7. Get Your Ears Out is a site that merges fans and bands/artists and gigs and tickets and content in one place.

We hope that all elements of the music community particularly the fans and people making new music can participate in our site. Get involved – help us shape something new. You really can get involved quickly. Do you take gig photos or have a burning passion to write? We’ll consider any great idea from people that have a genuine passion for live music.

OK the site’s not perfect yet as we have high standards and limited resources but we’re sure people will recognise we’re not a multi-million dollar funded bunch of fakers pretending to be interested in music when it’s clear the real motivator is money!

Get Your Ears Out is what it says on the tin. Live Music Live Here. If you click on adverts, buy from our affiliate deals (when they arrive), sure we get small payments - but you know what? Our first driver is always the love of live music.

Enjoy the site and feedback please – we value your thoughts and comments.
