Manchester band and GYEO favourites ‘Doves’ have announced a fairly special trip to the woods this summer as they will be gigging at the Delamere Forest, Cheshire in June!
Technically a home show for the band it seems a great finale to their UK tour this Summer, for those that don’t know the Delamere Forest – it’s a beautiful part of the world and a great place to catch a band weather permitting.
‘Doves’ long-awaited 4th album ‘Kingdom of Rust’, recorded at their Cheshire studio, is released on 6th April too so we expect to hear new tracks and ‘Doves’ classics combined in the set this summer.
‘Doves’ were Hacienda regulars (certainly Jimmy) from back in the day and we’re more than familiar with their music from the days of ‘Sub Sub’ and ‘Rob’s Records’ through to Lost Souls, Last Broadcast and Some Cities – its all damn good. A personal favourite Manchester band – you just can’t help but admire a band that really does let their music do the talking!! If you know what we mean!
Doves, plus guests, will be performing at Delamere Forest, Delamere, Cheshire on Saturday 13 June and Get Your Ears Out will be there in no doubt…
