‘The Killers’ are to headline the V Festival this summer. The Las Vegas rockers were winners of ‘Best International Band’ at the NME Awards last night where they confirmed they will headline the V Festival this summer promising a “bigger and better” show than ever…a possible ‘dig’ at their old management?
Earlier in the week it emerged The Killers were to counter-sue their previous manager who is suing them for breach of contract! The Killers are fighting back and have threw in some charges about loss of earnings due to missed tour opportunities and claims of double-dealing…from a band manager…not possible HAHA…we know that’s hard to believe but allegedly it can happen!
The previous manager ‘Braden Merrick’ (that’s a real name folks) has targeted the band and their current manager ‘Robert Reynolds’. Now, this has been going on for a couple of years now ever since The Killers started making some big bucks but the latest move makes this far more interesting. We’re talking multi-million dollar law suits here – that’s for sure.
It seems it’s not only Bono, who let slip earlier in the week U2 see them as a threat, who should fear The Killers – maybe they really do live upto that name…jury’s out for now…but more headline gigs will keep those industry lawyers in sports cars and rolex. Word.
