OK our headline is a little ’sensational’ but by Pete’s own admission he felt like quitting the band after an incident at a gig in Dundee drove him to tears!

After stage diving at the gig Doherty was subjected to a painful “wedgie” by an over-excited Scotsman from the crowd. For those unfamilar with the term  it ’s slang for picking someone up by the underpants whilst they are still wearing them, think of a cheese wire  cutting through a piece of cheddar!

Anyway this hilarious act caused Pete to burst into tears and run for the cover of the tour bus…by his own admission.

He then cried that he had enough of the band and that things were not going too well…when his worried band members finally got the real reasons for his tantrum perhaps they smiled like we did!

Fair play to Doherty who has shared this event with the World and it made us smile so we’re thinking it might do the same for you….just spreading the love with this light-hearted tale on a Monday.
