According to Doves they were pipped to a third consecutive number one album by that crazy woman in ridiculous clothes that some RnB heads and young pop kids seem to think is cool at the moment. Bless!

Yeah, Lady Gaga beat Jimmy Goodwin & Co by just 4 sales, the actual figures go like this: Lady gaga 46200 and Doves 46196 - sooo close!

If only we’d known 5 albums wouldn’t have broke the bank and Doves could have completed a hat-trick with ‘Kingdom of Rust’…a recommended album that maintains the high quality Doves output for 2009.

Oh well, still not bad for a band that will have been financially dwarfed by the massive promo budget of Lady Gaggin for it….we mean FAME of course, what else?!
