Indie giants the Pixies back on tour!

Black Francis, Kim Deal, Joey Santiago and Dave Lovering are indeed back on the road….ringing any bells?

A blast from the past for some as the mighty Pixies are back in the UK later this year with 4 consecutive gigs at London’s Brixton Academy in early October. They don’t play any other UK cities we’re afraid despite the best music scenes generally being north of London… but we think this gig is worth a trip to the smoke.

The Pixies are arguably a real music lovers band, they’ve no doubt influenced many bands and have maintained that ‘cool’ street credibility that big bands find hard to hang onto past their third album…

Coincidentally it’s an album that ‘the tour’ is in celebration of namely1989’s ‘Doolittle’ - that’s a 20th anniversary for those that don’t do maths and according to Francis the gigs will offer a set that reflects the whole album…

“We wanted to do something special for Doolittle’s 20th anniversary and we thought this was a good opportunity to play all the songs from the album, something we don’t normally do at a regular gig”

So for you teens getting onto this post then get on Spotify if you don’t know what we’re on about and have a listen…

Good luck getting tickets for those that are down with the Pixies - we have a feeling them tickets will go pretty quickly!
