Red Arrows and Doves

Extreme Sports Festival ‘White Air’ just got a bit more interesting as Doves have been announced to play as a headline act…dubbed Europe’s biggest village of extreme sports action on the beach it obviously targets a certain sort of festival goer - perhaps one that turns up on a skateboard or a surfboard, you know!

Blending music and ‘other activities’ seems to be a winning formula for some…snowbombing is one example of where it works for sure but for us the music has gotta be first with extra-cirricular activities playing second fiddle.

Kids in Manchester wouldn’t be that interested in seeing the red arrows flying around or helicopters flying upside down whilst you’re checking out Pounding by Doves…for real… that’s billed as complimentary entertainment…hmm.

That said music does include Brighton’s British Sea Power, The Cribs, Biffy Clyro and White Lies with more announcements to follow and with ticket prices fairly reasonable it beats many other options for a few days in late September.

With a bit of luck an Indian summer climate on Brighton Beach could see 18th to the 20th of September being fun…particularly if you like mixing your extreme sport with live music.

I think we’ll be in Ibiza - closing parties.
