It doesn’t seem like 5 minutes since Doves played the Delamere Forest in June last year and now the Manchester band have announced another summer trip to the woods!

The band (and the Forestry Commission!) have recently announced the Thetford Forest gig to be held this June, on Saturday the 12th to be precise. It’s an interesting initiative that The Forestry Commission have ran over recent years and driving gig goers to a forest for music consumption is to be applauded - surely it beats the usual venues hands down…as long as we get the weather!

Doves play the East Anglian Forest of Thetford this time but tickets are still reasonably priced for a more bespoke event at £28.00 - as usual there will be guests which as yet are unannounced.

Front man Jimi Goodwin said “It was a great experience to play to a sold out crowd at Delamere Forest last summer so we are pleased to announce another forest gig for 2010″…

We’re do enjoy a gig that offers something different so if you fancy Doves in the forest this summer you know what to do.
