We’ve always mentioned the lesser known (although that is now changing) Kendal Calling Festival as we like the fact it’s still has that undiluted feel - it’s still edgier than your other festivals we could mention.

And the growth in popularity and reach of this Northern gem is clear to see this year with a stellar line up including Doves, The Coral, British Sea Power, Badly Drawn Boy and the Stereo MC’s…other acts to grace the stages include Manchester’s Kid British and The King Blues.

As usual with the Kendal Calling event there will be something different and with an open invitation to create, make or perform your art at their on-site exhibition, oh and a circus too! Yes that’s right a circus!
